(American Artist, b. 1959)
I was born and raised in Torrance, California. It was an idyllic childhood in what was once a small pacific--coast beach town with miles of open fields. In my twenties I moved to Los Angeles; in 2002 I relocated to Palm Desert where I currently reside.
In 1982 I graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Music/Composition. My former daytime career: a full-time systems analyst for a toy corporation, as well as teaching part-time at a private music school. My free time over the years has been occupied by painting, composing/recording music and building acoustic guitars.
Along with the paintings, I am offering digital archival prints. These prints are made with the highest quality and attention to detail by Visual Arts Imaging, Palm Springs, CA. My prints are available on FineArt textured archival paper (310g), which compliments these images perfectly.
They are available in two sizes:
1. The original size of the painting, with a 1" white border.
2. The original size X 1.5 enlargement, with a 1" white border.
This first series of paintings consists of 18 works in oil called SUBTERRANEAN. Each painting has its own title as well. They were painted from January 2020 through January of 2021. During this time the world started changing rapidly, erupting into an all-time fury of political madness, accompanied by a global pandemic and a media/communication breakdown leaving only uncertainty in its wake.
